The trade off is that the site doesn’t add that additional Jazz.

But that doesn’t mean we aren’t looking exploring. Recently we have created some jazzy ways of presenting the content, while these have not made their way to the main site, here one of them, Carousel, for your viewing.

Please note that this requires Microsoft Silverlight and will prompt you to download. Go ahead if you please as it is becoming second popular web content enhancer after Adobe Flash.

A quick update on another development that is in progress. We are planning to add page views on each post. These will quickly help you get a view of how many times the posts have been read.

When you view archives either by date or by author, you can quickly see the number of times the posts have been viewed.

Views

For users, this gives an indication of how popular the post is and for authors how their posts are being read. For now you can view these in the archives pages, in a few days these will start showing up on the home page.
